Farr Nezhat

A pioneer and leading authority in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of malignant and benign gynecologic pathologies, Dr. Farr Nezhat is known as one of the best endometriosis specialists in the world. As the Medical Director of Nezhat Surgery for Gynecology/Oncology, he practices at two locations: Upper East Side, in the heart of Manhattan, and Long Island, New York.
Dr. Farr Nezhat’s expertise lies in treating ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers. He specializes in severe and multi-organ endometriosis, pelvic masses, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, various gynecological fistulas, and congenital anomalies. In addition to being a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Farr Nezhat is a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, director of division and fellowship, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and robotics, NYU Langone Hospital Long Island.
By establishing a minimally invasive surgery division and fellowships at three hospitals, Dr. Farr Nezhat has provided innumerable training opportunities for fellows, residents, medical students, and national/international visiting physicians.
He was among the first to perform, publish and teach laparoscopic and robotic surgery in gynecology and oncology.
He contributes prolifically to scientific and medical literature, frequently serves as a director of postgraduate courses, and is a regularly invited faculty member at professional societies and congresses.
