Jeanette Lager

Jeannette Lager, MD, MPH, is a professor in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, serving as the Section Chief at UCSF and Associate Director of the Endometriosis Center. As faculty since the inception of the combined MIGS and Urogynecology division, Dr. Lager is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. Within the Endometriosis Center, she fosters collaborations with radiology, pathology, pain management, colorectal surgery, urology, and integrative medicine, ensuring patients receive holistic and coordinated treatment. Driven by a passion for education, Dr. Lager also holds the position of Director of OBGYN Medical Education for the UCSF School of Medicine. She is actively engaged in curricular development, with a particular focus on enhancing education surrounding historically underrepresented conditions like endometriosis. Her innovative educational research includes the development of a surgical video library of short, targeted modules, designed to significantly improve medical students' preparation for the operating room, alongside other impactful curricular advancements.
