Radu Apostol

Dr. Apostol is the Division Director of Gynecology as well as the Associate Residency Program Director in the Department of Ob/Gyn at NYC/H&H – South Brooklyn Health in NY. He completed his undergraduate studies at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. Following medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Brooklyn, NY. He then went on to work in private practice in Connecticut where in 2013 he was named “TOP DOC, Obstetrics & Gynecology” in Connecticut Magazine.
Dr. Apostol completed a 2-year fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gyn Surgery with Dr. Farr Nezhat at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center in NYC.
He is an expert in Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery with special interest in managing complex gynecologic cases, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery for the treatment of severe endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, uterine leiomyomas as well as reproductive surgery. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the Amer College of ObGyn as well as the Amer College of Surgeons.
Dr. Apostol has authored or co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications as well as several textbook chapters. He is also an ad-hoc reviewer for several specialty journals.
